I have naturally curly, dry, coarse, LONG hair that I've been color-treating for a decade. Seriously, most horses have nicer manes and tails than I have hair. I have tried everything from cheap fortifying shampoos to expensive salon brands, and this. is. the. stuff. Seriously, my hair has NEVER felt this good, even before I started coloring. You need to be aware that you pretty much HAVE to condition after using this shampoo. I was afraid the first time I used it because my hair felt so incredibly coarse and tangled. I soon realized why -- it was the first time in years that a shampoo had removed deposits from my hair rather than leaving them behind, exposing more of that coarse texture. My hair was actually CLEAN. Really, really clean. It's done nothing to dull my color, and even though the shampoo is extremely thick, it lathers extremely well. I cannot recommend this shampoo enough, when paired with the conditioner. This is coming from someone with hair that has been impossible to get to look nice because of the curly/dry/coarse/long/frizzy combination. My hair is CLEAN, stronger, my split ends are GONE... I am never going back to those expensive salon brands! You can buy four 32 oz. bottles of Mane 'n Tail for the price of one much smaller bottle of expensive salon stuff, and it probably works four times as well!
