These pants were perfect for my 9 year old sons on our ski trip. They fit as expected and kept them dry and warm on our trip. They're beginners, so there were a lot of falls and they never complained of being cold/wet. They have velcro on the sides so you can tighten/loosen them as necessary. I paid $170 for my Spyder ski pants, but these at $25 are right up there in quality in my opinion! I'm really hoping they'll fit them again next ski season !! If not, I'll be buying the next size up! BTW - My son is about 56" tall and 85lbs in the orange (medium), and the other is 55" tall and 95lbs in the green pants (large). I do think the large were a bit big on him, but with the velcro sides, we were able to keep them tight enough, and these will def him next season as well.
