Nice solid unit that can take a lot of jumping abuse!
I'm a bit of a health freak, and I like to work out and work out hard! When I read about the toxins in our lymph glands that need to be excreted, I was like 'huh?' This was new to me. So onto the internet I went, and I did some research. Sure enough, our lymph glands store up all this nasty junk that doesn't get expelled unless we help it with a good jostle. That's where rebounding, or trampolines, come into the picture. I also have a condition called Degenerative Disk Disease which caused me to break a neck vertebra during aerobics over 15 years ago and required replacement surgery. So I can't do anything that might put direct pressure onto the back of my neck. The trampoline alleviates severe impact on joints and the skeletal system as it flexes with our weight. So I sought out the best possible version for older folks (I'm 61) and came up with this. I have to say, their CD for beginners will kick your *ss. It kicked mine, and I've been an avid walker/aerobics participant most of my life. So don't expect it to be too useful for the elderly. If you need a walker, use the additional handlebars that come with the trampoline as you will need them. The CD is way too vigorous and intense for older folks, even the beginner's version. I haven't even looked at the intermediate or advanced versions yet. And this trampoline is VERY NOISY. I assure you, your heart rate will be soaring in a matter of seconds once you start a session. It's irritating to see that cute skinny little British gal dancing through the routine like a feather floating while I'm sweating like a big dog, but it does get things jostling and moving in the body. Having that flat chest also helps her, which I was not blessed with at all. Overall this trampoline is very nice, very durable, and it gives just enough for a decent bounce without losing control. Since I don't have the same balance as I did twenty years ago, the firmness is a big plus on this model. I would have given it five stars were the workout CD more attuned to those less experienced than beginners and something that the elderly could use as well. Maybe they will come out with something less intense for older folks in the future. Also, this was an easy set-up right out of the box. Just flip it open and play the CD. Oh, and I wouldn't recommend wearing army boots on this thing either. Go with tennies, and wear a really tight bra, ladies or you'll knock yourselves out!
