Anyone who has spent much time camping probably already knows how good Mountain House meals are. They are generally considered to be among the best on the market, but also the most expensive. The price I paid on Amazon for this classic bucket was a great deal. Every meal in here is great except the Teriyaki Chicken which contains vast amounts of red peppers which I hate. So I gave the second one to a friend who was happy to take it off my hands. It's a personal thing and I didn't take a star off for it. Each of the meals is supposed to feed 2 1/2 hungry campers. That's not going to happen, Each of them will feed one very hungry camper. Two combined would be a decent meal for three campers. The breakfasts (two of them) are supposed to feed two campers each. That's not realistic either. But I could hike for four hours on one of those breakfasts. I would have liked to see two fewer entrees and two more breakfasts in this bucket. That would have been a more useful combination. So I'm taking a star off because of the ridiculous portion claims and because I would have liked a different allocation of breakfasts vs. entrees.
