I have several of these inside the beds supplied by the manufacturer, and they work beautifully. But who knew they also are induction chargers! Giselle (pictured) is getting older, but, as you can see, a nice nap on the heated pad fully restores energy. I purchased this one, just the heater, to put beneath a microfiber throw that I use on a long hassock in my living room All three of my cats love and sleep on these, and I leave them on 24/7. Do be aware, though, that the heater won't feel warm to the touch until there's some weight on it--so often I see reviews where people say "it didn't heat up!" Put a pillow, a weight, or a cat on it (with appropriate cover,) then feel the warmth. Or just hold your hand on it for a while. I've had the beds for years, and they're still fine. It is important to put something between the pad and the cat--either putting it in an extant bed, or beneath the cats favorite blanket. And don't use it in spaces where the cat can't leave in case s/he feels too warm. Once charged, your cat will be able to cover the entirety of your house in no time flat--probably at Four in the morning.
