Holy smokes! I was on the fence about this show when it first began, but now I want more. This show is a deliciously mysterious and at times suspenseful sci-fi that focuses around Peter Leigh, a widowed chaplain who is summoned to Oasis (a colony developed as a means to help people escape a now crumbling earth) by its leader and founder, David Morgan. Once there, he discovers not only a slightly hostile group of scientists and engineers (who were promised a community without the "deception of religion"), but also a slough of cryptic messages from Morgan and a mysterious ailment that causes colonists to fall under the spell of malignant hallucinations. This show brings a harmonious blend of science fiction and suspense/mystery elements that are sure to both grab and keep your attention. However, I do have one word of caution: the script does include frequent use of words beginning with the letters "f" and "mf" (especially midway through the show), which means you may want to show this to young sci-fi fans over the age of 16 or so.
