This collar is incredible. It has great noise detection, and so many settings there's no way you won't find the level and setting that's right for your dog. Do you have a brute that needs a stronger deterrent? There's 5 levels of vibration, and 5 levels of shock strength. Not into shocking your dog, or found out they don't need the shock part to be deterred? Use the vibration setting! The settings are easy to change with just the touch of a button, and color coded so you can easily tell which setting you've got it on. We have tried 2 other types of collars before this one. one brand straight up FELL OFF because the buckles would not secure tightly enough. This buckle is strong. Tightening the collar, while difficult past a certain point, provided the exact tightness level we needed and has not loosened. The battery life has not disappointed yet! We take the collar off of our dog at night, as suggested in the manual and turn it off. In the morning we turn it back on and put it on our dog. So far, there's been no sign of the batteries giving out. I will give 2 tips to those starting out using this. You may have to lightly train your dog to accept having this put on. Once our dog realized what it did, she fought us getting it back on the next few times. we did some light treat training with it, and then she started accepting it at part of her routine. A word of caution....some dogs may become overly affectionate or clingy after wearing this. I have read that it is because they are nervous/anxious about barking and want to be near their owners for comfort. If your dog acts like this, I recommend taking it off of them for an hour and cuddling to reassure them, or lowering the collar settings. Overall, this collar has transformed our household from a noisy crazy house with incessant barking that woke our kids at nap time and encouraged chaos, to a more normal level of noise.
