Overall I am very happy with this smoker. I have not had an offset smoker for some years and really missed tending the fire and controlling the cook. I have a Big Green Egg and a Yoder pellet smoker and love cooking on them both, but missed cooking 100% with wood. This thing is built very head duty. I did follow other people advice and postings that did the modifications and I am so happy I did. The only smoke coming out the smoker after the modifications is light blue smoke out of the stack. I highly advise anyone to do the modifications. You won't be sorry. I have attached pictures. The only reason I did not give this smoker 5 stars, is that the paint peeled right off of the firebox the first couple of cooks. And I never got above 325 degrees.
