Thought I’d give these a try over the higher priced and not as advanced alternatives... and I have to say, I’m impressed! Popped in some fresh Duracell batteries and went straight to my back yard to run a few drills of 500 rounds — these things are awesome! The response time of attenuation is so fast that I can’t even hear a delay at all, the return to the set volume is instantaneous. It was like I was shooting a 22 rifle instead of supersonic 125 grain 300 AAC. I’ve never owned any type of active noise cancellation before so I can’t compare them to the other guys but the big thing that sold me on these is the directional microphones since I like to hunt deer and need directional hearing; other brands only offered single channel omnidirectional microphones which is useless for my application. Honestly if these were offered with a mic attachment for PTT they would be perfect. I was also unable to hear any buzz at maximum volume as others reported but my hearing isn’t that sensitive after the 500,000 rounds I’ve fired over the years. For the buck, they’re a good buy and I would suggest you give them a shot.
