I just finished putting together my table. I'm a 25 year old active male and it took some effort and a few hours to put together. I had to take some breaks. I like the design and the top lifts to a perfect height unlike some others that lift real high up. I use my TV as a computer screen as well and the design seems perfect. There was a few scratches on the boards. I might of sent it back except for the last table I got from Amazon was worse and I had to send it back. I've been waiting a couple weeks for a new coffee table. The company is sending me a colored marker to hopefully cover up the scratches. I might need to also use sand paper. I started to realize that 75% of the furniture I buy online comes with some type of damage from all companies. I don't think I'm going to buy furniture online anymore although it's cheaper. I think I will start learning how to make custom furniture because I get nothing but problems buying furniture online. I think most of our furniture is made in mass production from places like China so the quality is often poor. Most people might be better off going to a local Wal-Mart or Target and its easy to return. If you can afford more go to a local furniture store. If you buy this one because of the unique design be careful when putting in the dividers at the bottom not to split the wood. I think the screws they give you are too large. If I was not careful my table would of been ruined. I only put one screw in on each instead of the two instructed because it would of split. To put in the lift top they instruct to have someone else help you. I found various items such as boxes and note pads to life it up while I put in the screws so I did not need any help. If you are patient and take a couples of minutes looking at the instructions you will start to see each page is very simple. Sometimes a new page seemed overwhelming but after looking at it for a few moments it looked easy. If you don't have experience putting together furniture I would not recommend this product. If you love the design expect a problem but the company I thought has great service and will send you replacement parts.
