I'm 5' 6" and approx. 300 lbs. I purchased a 2XL. I was a little nervous because a lot of folks on here were saying the 1XL fit them perfectly and those people were about 100 lbs. smaller than me. But I checked out the actual size chart and trusted my own measurements. This is my first Amazon review with a photo, but I had to because this dress is such an expected success! The collar fits nicely, the dress hugs the right places, hides my trouble spots. It's a light fit, very smooth, but not see-through like other similar blends. It's stretchy and just about the right length. I could stand it to be just one inch longer, but that's personal preference. The fit - especially for someone my size (not self-criticizing, just honest about the tough search for well-fitting clothes) - feels and looks so awesome that I think it's more than worth the price. I don't think I've ever put on a dress and felt so comfortable and still work appropriate. I work in a conservative place, so I personally will want to add a little lace or a tiny pin to hide the cleavage just a bit, but if you are looking for a date dress, a beach dress, or just a I-feel-amazing-in-this dress, I say try it out!
