I bought this for a trip to Nicaragua to use at the beach while surfing all day. It was really nice to have and not waste plastic bottles. It kept the water cool even as it sat in my bookbag or car in the hot climate. It has never leaked and seems to be holding up well for the 2 months I've used it. I read other reviews about the cap being in the way of your face and not wanting to mount the cap in the handle every time you want a quick drink. My solution was to open the jug, remove the lower cap ring and pull it through the handle so it's not routed through the handle anymore. Now put the lower ring back on and when you go for a drink just swing the cap ring behind the handle piece. It's quicker and easier than trying to mount the cap in the handle.
