I bought this radio to take to sporting events to listen to the broadcast. Years ago, I went to a baseball game and was bored stiff. My mom had a little radio just like this one, and let me borrow it for a while. What a difference between just watching the game and watching and hearing the color commentary simultaneously. I hope this little radio works out! Overall quality seems top-notch, controls are easy, and the unit is pretty lightweight even with batteries in it. Should not have an issue carrying around in a pocket for a few hours. I'll bet your big smartphone weighs more!
