We bought this pen after buying a different generic/cheaper pen that lasted one (1) use, and then clogged. Happily we were able to return the pen to the seller. That was a bad experience. This pen was a good experience. It worked very well with the ABS filament and some other ABS filament that we got from a highly rated seller on Amazon. Pen has been clog free and the motor works seamlessly. There is some material left in the chamber after each use, so we have made sure to extract the extras out of there so that we can get the color as pure as possible once we begin working on a project. Moving from white to black and vice versa has been especially noticeable as the initial extrusions from the pen are grey. The pen does get a little hot near the tip, but oddly does not include the silicone finger tips that were included with the other pen, so if you have younger kids, it may be worth it to get those finger tips for a few dollars more. The adjustable speed (it is a slider, unlike some pens which have buttons to adjust the speed) is really nice and gives you a little more flexibility than some other models. Overall, we are very happy with this pen. It stimulates your creativity without getting in the way, which is all you can ask for from a pen like this.
