I recently purchased one of these broadcast HDTV antennas from Amazon. I'm very happy with this antenna. It was easy to install, and the results were quite good, given that I am located in a mountainous, rural area. I was able to get 3 channels, and all come in perfectly with no dropouts. I mounted the antenna close to my ceiling on a wall behind my TV set. I did not want to mount it on a window, because that would leave the cord laying in a pathway to my guest bathroom in my house. The reception is still good. I did not need the amplifier. You can see it in the upper left corner of the first picture; I used Scotch tape to tape it above the doorway to the guest bathroom. (Scotch tape is easier to remove than the adhesive velcro strips supplied with the antenna.) I already have streaming video after cutting the cable, but I was missing local news. I now get the local CBS station with this antenna, and that has local news, so I am satisfied. The other two stations are icing on the cake.
