L-Tyrosine really has helped......
This is my first review on Amazon EVER and I have been on here a long time. I have just purchased my fourth bottle and I will continue to order this product. For me the changes were within 30 minutes. I am not sure what condition this truly solves but I suspect anyone low on endorphins would benefit greatly. I have the unfortunately issue of having kidney stones on a regular basis, probably 1-2 a week. Doctors frown upon giving out pain meds so I generally deal with the kidney stones as best I could on my own. What I discovered is that my mood was horrible because I was constantly exhausted from dealing with the stones on a daily basis. In desperation I picked up the "Mood Cure" through audible. I bought all the stuff they recommended to try; GABA, L-Trytophan, DLPA, L-Tyrosine, 5-HTP the list goes on. The L-Tryrophan and 5-HTP basically did the same thing, they both made me tired so I took them in the evening. GABA, same effect, tired but I did notice it has a calming effect. Long story short, my serotonin levels were never the problem with my mood, even before the kidney stones. I believe I have naturally low endorphin levels and the kidney stones definitely degraded it even further. After taking L-Tyrosine and/or DLPA (they both worked but I think I like L-Tyrosine better), my mood improved greatly. My wife has noticed and I have noticed. I am simply a happier person even though I am going though all this. I am NOT saying this relieves pain but it does help ME with the exhaustion and mood that usually accompanies it. I take 1500mg (=3 capsules) first thing in the morning. By the time my shower is half way done I feel the effects. I then take 2000mg 6-7hrs later. I would not take it past 6pm as it will keep you up.
I am sorry to hear this product does not work for everyone but I must say it only helps with a certain condition. I think if you have tried anti-depression or anti-anxiety medication and it made you more irritable then serotonin isn't your problem and maybe you should look at endorphin levels instead. I hope this help someone.
