I have purchased at least 8 warranties from Square Trade. I have only had to use it one time. My kindle just stopped working one day. I called Amazon and went through all the steps to get it to work but it was dead. I checked my warranty that I had purchased from Square Trade for $35.00 (for a 7" Kindle Fire) when I bought the Kindle. It would have been three years old in November and the warranty was for three years. I contacted them online, filled out a form and in two days received a label to send back the kindle. I was asked how I wanted the refund. I had it returned to my Amazon account and received the full purchase price plus 5%. I will order the new kindle fire when it comes out in November. I will never be without Square Trade warranty for any electronic purchase I make. Absolute please to deal with. THE BEST.............
