It worked like a charm. I used it every day while I was in the Galapagos Islands. It's light weight, but big and tuff enough to carry my cameras, sunscreen, shoes, water bottle and a light weight coat. I even had it with me when it started raining on one of my hikes. It wasn't waterproof, but it kept my stuff from getting drenched. It folds up easily to get it back into it's little pouch that fits into any place in your suitcase without adding any weight.
