TLDR; We have both a brand name smart bike and this one. If I were spending my own money, I’d get this bike. If you’re on the Company dime, smart bike! But only if it’s free. Prior to covid, my husband and I regularly attended fitness classes and had no need for home gym equipment. We finally bought a certain brand name smart bike (paid for by employer) at our primary residence, and didn’t want to lose our progress at our getaway cabin so we bought this. To say we’re impressed is putting it lightly. This bike is more comfortable- by far. It’s more compact. I expected it to have no tech but takes my pulse which even the smart bike does not! Granted, the smart bike controls resistance remotely during classes which is mind blowing. And it has an attached screen. But is that worth an extra $1500?? Absolutely not. This has a ledge for a tablet and can stream the same classes. Look into pro form and if that doesn’t work for you, get this bike ASAP.
