Tough review to come up with a score for this. The price was incredible, about half what comparably sized cat trees. It looks great, and wasn't hard to put together. The instructions were vague, so I just pulled up the picture from Amazon on my phone and used that as a guide. Had it together in about 15-20mins. My cat LOVES it. Spends all day either climbing it, clawing it, or sleeping in the top cubby. People say it is a small opening, but my cat is medium sized about 10lb 9mo old and he seems to fit in it fine. The bottom cubbyhole is very tiny though, I never see him try to go in there. My cat has been very rough on it. It has brought out a level of rowdiness out of him that I have never seen. He tears across the room, jumps on it full speed, claws his way to the top, then rocks around like hes possessed. It is very stable. If any cat could manage to make this fall over I think it would be Fish, and he hasn't succeeded yet. He has been clawing the crap out out of the scratching posts however, and some have come unraveled early on within the first week. Ive been cutting off the excess rope, and using gorilla glue over night to re-glue the rope back together, seems to fix it OK, but it doesn't have that new look anymore, its defiantly starting to look tattered over the last couple weeks. I don't expect it to last much longer, it probably has another couple months before its so beat up it won't match my decor anymore, The fabric is more like a thin fleece rather than carpet and is starting to fray and rip where he screws with it. On the other hand my cat seems to love it and I guess it was a good $50 test investment to know he will actually use a cat tree. I will probably buy a $100+ one next time that will stand up to he destructiveness a bit better. 10 month update - This is still in pretty good shape. The ropes have unraveled and frayed but overall stood the test of time. Now I have two cats who love this, and have spent most of the last year in it sleeping and playing.
