I love her work ethic, fashion, drive and determination.
Pre-ordered the book and it came yesterday. I first learned of Megyn Kelly when watching Jon Stewart and they showed her Santa Claus comments. Made me laugh (sometimes people are just too serious) and somehow ended up watching her show regularly. I love her fashion and find her very interesting. I admire the way she quickly forms her thoughts and think that she gets her message across well. I just wish she would have explained why she spells her name wrong. That's just not how you spell Megan. Meghan.
I wish the book was less about Trump, but Trump sells. He also made a brutal impact in her career and Megyn Kelly discusses how she overcame the taunting, bullying and hatred. There is more to the book than just The Donald. It's interesting reading about how she grows up. As I start my own family, it helps me determine how I want to shape my family. She stresses how she didn't grow up with false praise and it comes across as authentic. Her stories about her mom and grandma made me tear up. Her mom is so proud of her, but does not want Megyn to get a big head so often Megyn thinks some of her accomplishments go unnoticed. I had to laugh when she wrote how she surprised her family with how successful she became. It is just nice, warm and fuzzy without being cheesy.
She's a unique person with a good message. I like the book and find it helpful to apply to my own life. Obviously, my career is on a much smaller scale and I have not been in a situation where I felt like a co-worker or supervisor was making sexual advances. Just because I haven't been in that situation, doesn't mean I don't understand it. I liked seeing how she positively responded to conflict.
I admire, recognize and appreciate someone, man or woman, who is able to find success and balance with work and family. I appreciate it even more when they share their own insights as Megyn Kelly has done.
