I am a former user of the Roomba S7+ and two (2) Roomba M6 mops. I purchased this unit hoping I would get better service out of the unit than I was currently receiving from my Roomba units. My Roomba units have had multiple battery issues, where they would not charge, so Roomba would have to send me a new battery. The mops would get stuck on their base, and their wheels would spin, and I would get a message that the mop was stuck and mopping was canceled. I would have to manually push them off their base. The vacuum would go to areas that I had marked as no vacuum zones in the app. It would also constantly run into our furniture. After two years, our furniture was beginning to look rough from all the beatings. The Roborock S7+ changed all that. First, from a technical standpoint it is years ahead of Roomba. It uses LiDAR to determine it’s proximity to an object, so it doesn’t beat the furniture to death. The first time it ran it, it picked up so much dog hair in two rooms that it had to return to the base to empty the bin. The Roomba unit had run in that room 4 hours prior. The mop feature works extremely well. It raises when going over our rugs, then lowers again and mops. The app is very nice! The mapping portion is excellent. The first time the mop spoke (saying it was starting a job), my dog Bob about had a heart attack. Other than that, everyone loves the fact that it speaks and tells you what it is doing. If you are wondering if you will be happy charging from Roomba, don’t wonder…..it’s perfect! It has replaced three Roomba units in my house.
