This hound heater is perfect for my application. After installing it into my custom made dog house converted from a resin shed (Suncast BMS4900D Glidetop Slide Lid Shed), it keeps the interior temperature approximately 11-16 degrees higher than outside temperature on LOW setting. I haven't tested it on medium or high setting yet, mainly because it hasn't gotten very cold yet. For example, it was 42 degrees out last night (California weather), my wireless temperature monitor which I'd mounted inside the dog house away from the heater read a toasty 58 degrees. One thing to note, this heater was designed for 32 cubic feet dog house; however my dog house is 140 cubic feet, four times larger. Despite that, it does exactly what I wanted, which is to keep the temperature above the 40 degree range.
