I have a 2008 RAV4 that has an intermittent problem that causes three dashboard lights to come on: EngineCheck, VSC, and 4WD. The lights sometimes go out in a week or two. Both the BAFX 34t5 OBD scan tool and the Toyota dealer found a P0171 code, 'Engine Too Lean'. The dealer could not identify a cause for the code and could not explain what this code has to do with the VSC and 4WD lights. There does not seem to be problem with the vehicle, but when the dashboard lights are on I cannot lock the differential. I rarely need to lock it, but when I need to, it's important. I downloaded the Torque Lite app to my Samsung Android phone. The app paired automatically with the scan tool via bluetooth and I can then use Torque to turn the dashboard lights off whenever they come on. Great product.
