You do not need to spend a lot of money to get good tasting espresso and cappuccino. This machine works fine. Only problem is an error in the instructions on making cappuccino, and using the foamer. It has you load in the water, then says turn the dial to "steam," wait six minutes and then, "turn the steam knob counterclockwise." That does not work, because not only have you done that, by following their initial instructions, but now hot water, and eventually steam, are sputtering out of the nozzle uncontrolled. The right way to make cappuccino on this machine is to put in about 250cc of cold water, which is enough for foaming the milk and a pot of coffee. Do not turn the knob to "steam." Turn it to "pause" and wait about five minutes for the water to heat up. Unlike their instructions, no water is spurting all over the place from the foamer attachment. Now place your container with milk under the foamer, turn the knob to "steam" and it foams the milk nicely. Then turn the knob to the "coffee" setting, and it promptly makes a pot of espresso, for you to add to your milk foam. No mess, and good cappuccino!
