As you may have guessed from the title of my review, I have lost a few cherished items when they were inadvertently knocked off their resting places. And OK, I will admit to **occasionally** being one of the clumsy people. Now this product will not save an item from a determined diva of destruction such as my Jack Russell Terrier leaping for the window to hold a conversation with the neighbor's cat regardless of the decor on the end table, but it does slow down the gentle descent of my objects if accidentally brushed against, which allows me to grab them before they tip over. Some of the things I use this product for: holding down glass lotion dispensers on my sink ledges and steadying vases and various objet d'art that are exposed to canines and human guests. Here in Chicagoland I have only experienced earthquake rumblings a handful of times in the last 50 years, so I'm not too concerned about that. I do get very tired of framed artwork going out of level, so I have taken to attaching a blob of Quakehold at the bottom edge of the frame and pressing it against the wall. This seems to help keep them in place. Also, I use this on the bottom of votive candle holders on the fireplace mantel so that I do not accidentally send glass shards and hot wax spraying all over the area. Again. I'm sure that I will think of more uses for this product in the future. I like the fact that it has no odor, is not greasy, so far has not left marks on any surfaces, is easily removable, can be returned to the package and used again, and does not seem to dry out or go bad in the package over a period of several months. A little goes a long way. I wonder if I can flatten it out and press it against the color Sunday comics like Silly Putty. That would be too cool!
