I (a big fan of the books) watched this show with my girlfriend who hasn't read any of them, and both of us found plenty to enjoy. Each episode got better than the last, expanding the world and letting us get used to the cast of characters as time went on. The music was great, and some the changes they made seem to serve the adaptation to the screen well. I think the show will be enjoyable for anyone who likes fantasy, though it should be noted that there are a few pretty gory scenes, so perhaps young children should look away during those parts. I'm very excited to see where the show goes from here!
