I got a large splinter in pinky finger over a week ago. I immediately pulled out a large sliver. However, the next day,the wound starting to swell and became what appeared to be infected causing substantial pain. Finally after several days, went to local doctor who dug around in the wound and claimed to have not been able to find any splinter remnants. As usual prescribed pills and sent home. Still no relief in next few days. Finally on recommendation from a family member to try some draw salve which, I had never heard of before, I found this Amish Origins and ordered it. Within a couple hours of applying a generous amount of the salve, a tip of a medically unseen 3/8 inch splinter remnant appeared. I was able to easily pull it out with tweezers.. Pain, redness and swelling eliminated almost immediately. This stuff is amazing and worked in my case better than professional medicine!! I do a lot of wood working and this tin of salve will be kept close by from now on.
