My new fave, truly does hide pores and feels great!
I've amassed quite a collection of Primers over time. Brandswise from ELF to Laura Mercier and a bunch in between. All different types of consistencies and finishes. None have managed to make me happy in one way or another. Feel, finish, weartime, etc., yes, I'm finicky about my face. (since you're reading this review I'm guessing you are too)... My primer collection is like a string of broken promises. Soooo..... VERY GLAD I stumbled onto this primer! Love the almost lotion-like texture. Spreads easily. Dries fast with no weird residue, sinks right in instead of sitting on top of my skin. Leaves a nice soft smoothness. Not only does it really smooth over and hide pores (after foundation applied), but also gives a lovely healthy glow that I really don't even notice until AFTER I've applied foundation (for your reference: L'Oreal True Match, C1, Alabaster -- yes, I'm extremely fair-skinned).
Being fair skinned (aka DEATHLY PALE), and now 55+, with cooler fall weather here -- my complexion hasn't been particularly healthy looking lately. Some fine wrinkles and uneven tone, sallowness, and those darn t-zone and chin dots we call pores. Ugh. So while I've started to address all that with a whole new skincare regimen, it's nice to have some extra "right now" help in the form of this primer. It really does feel and apply nicely, not at all heavy, very lightweight, no bad skin reaction whatsoever, and that wonderful healthy glow it gives my foundation/face. Hides pores better than any other primer I've tried, also keeps my foundation from pooling into my fine lines. Plus, the price is right! Affordable, and you don't need a lot so I predict the bottle should last a few months (of course ymmv).
I'm putting all my other primers in the back of my "stuff I may never need again" drawer. I'm tired of playing "eeney meeney miney mo" alternating them hoping against hope that one of them may like my skin and help my foundation one perfect day. For an unheard of THREE (yes 3) days in a row now, my face has loved this [Touch in Sol] No Pore Blem Primer. Once I know how long a bottle lasts on average, I'll be putting this on auto-delivery. That's a first for me.
Oh, almost forgot: Does this primer help foundation last longer? For me (normal to dry skin), seems to help stay pretty "fresh-faced" about 6-hours. Then it's a natural fade, no makeup sliding or caking or separating or anything like that. Plus, it doesn't start feeling gross if you leave it on all day and half the night. Being a makeup minimalist, never thought I'd gush on and on about a Primer. Lol. Yep, it's definitely a keeper.
