My old feather pillows were much less supportive and would sometimes poke through the case and the slip, leaving a red mark on my cheek. These down pillows are much firmer (I ordered the "firm" and they really are) and they move enough to cradle my head but do not totally collapse. I fall asleep sooner and don't wake up as often. I should have switched to down a long time ago.
