This ramp works perfectly with our two black labs. We purchased it for a week long trip in our RV as we wanted something portable and lightweight. First girl to go up it...she had no traction and slipped tearing up the sandpaper like surface. Our second lab couldn't get any traction when she went up so what to do? We are at the beach without tools...I took a long beach towel and put it down across the ramp...it worked. All week both girls were able to go up and down it without slipping. It closes up and stores away very easily. I still give it 5 stars but that surface has to go as its useless. I mean ripped when the first lab went up it. I will change it with some outdoor carpet probably. I hope the manufacture reads the reviews. Even with that great ramp and we like it.
