Update: My replacement Tracki is still working awesome. Rain or shine, I've been getting updates in the app. (You'll find that putting it under the car however will sometimes show the vehicle slightly off from it's actual location, but that doesn't happen often, and when it does, it's still within a very close range of where the vehicle actually is). Then used inside of the car, under the seat, but facing with the sensor toward the sky, it's been quite accurate. I've also been using the extended battery pack with waterproof case add-on and it makes a HUGE difference! I can leave the tracker in the car for 1-2 weeks at a time (usually over a week) with the fastest tracking (the one that updates every couple minutes). The case itself is super sturdy, but as a heads up, it's larger in size since it houses the tracki device inside, which makes it harder to conceal, if you're hoping to keep it hidden. I definitely find it worth it though since before using the larger battery pack addon (sold separately) I was having to charge it every day or two. original review: I got the Tracki for my son. I was super skeptical on how this would work, and if updates would be user friendly and accurate. But, I was really impressed with the frequent updates and accuracy. I also really like the feature where you can see when the device stops, and for how long it stopped for. Unfortunately, my Tracki device stopped working correctly after about a week, -but- I called customer service and they are incredibly helpful. I spoke with their service tech, Zandra, and she promptly worked through the troubleshooting methods and then offered to send a replacement out asap. The fact that they're on top of things and ready to resolve any issues definitely makes me feel good about this specific brand (as well as making me feel more value in the monthly sub). One other thing to note is that if you do get the basic device and want frequent updates every few minutes, you're looking at charging it every 1-2 days. I ended up purchasing the waterproof case add-on with extended battery (haven't received it in the mail yet to try it out, but I'll update when I get a good feel for it's performance). Overall, I'd rate the device and customer service at 5 stars.
