I wrote that glowing review in March, 6 months later I find out that THE INK IS DISCONTINUED!!!!!!!! You can only buy it online, and sometimes at extraordinary prices. CANON, how could you do this?!?! Hence, I just spent $85 buying ink here as a backup knowing in 3 months the price will skyrocket. -------------------- I have been using CANON printers since 1995; my first cost me $115.00 and was monochrome. I sold it 3 years afterwards (when I bought a color one) for $50. This one here cost UNDER $40 and it scans, prints, copies... and I might say, very sharply and quietly. I read the horrible reviews but took a chance because (as a counselor and somewhat of a CANON fan) I know people enJOY griping whether its true or not. I opened the box, removed all the items (5) and had it printing in 3 or 4 minutes. I also have a wireless Epson so I compared print jobs. The Epson was faster BUT the Canon was sharper. I REALLY LIKE the old school paper feeder, why? Because the flatbed tray on the Epson does not print / line-up business cards accurately!! I tried many types too. So I just decided to go old school. The 1st thing I did when the CANON got fired-up was load a business card sheet into the feeder and opened The Print Shop app on my PC and BAM!! Perfectly printed. I am so happy. And, it's light, smallish, a nice soft sand color tone, and it looks clean and professional. I wholeheartedly recommend it for any job or any environment.
