Okay, so, I just turned 50 and as much as my mother loves to say once you reach a certain age you should not have long hair? I currently have the longest hair I've ever had in my life and I LOVE it! That said? I am about to get a trim and hi lites in a few days but 2 days ago, based on great reviews, I ordered this wand. I have always love the look of the "beach" waves and wanted it for awhile but put it off thinking it would be too much trouble. I have used curling irons in the past and also hot rollers - they're nice but I don't liike that Barbie doll (In my opinion) look. I want a more bohemian - natural look. Well? I got it with this wand. I still am learning so excuse the pictures but I've had the wand 2 days and I am VERY happy with the results. I will say it takes a bit of work to figure out how to curl your hair (which I'm still learning) but so far the look is awesome and I love my hair! By the way? I grew up with VERY fine hair - nothing would hold it (my Mom would put bobby pins ((yes bobby pins remember those?)) into my hair and that's the only thing ((over night:)) that would curl my hair. Now? Thanks to hi-lites and being more mature? My hair has more texture but it's still hard to curl - this wand? Truly works! I do let the wand stay in my hair for 15-20 seconds. Please feel free to message me any questions - I am VERY happy with this wand and would consider getting an even thinner one (this one is the orange one and 1 inch I believe) just to give it a different look and or if I cut my hair :-) Not sure about this wand?
