*Update* Note on streaks: don't apply too firmly, and try doing fewer, quicker strokes, then letting it sit for up to 30 seconds before curing. I found the steaks do "settle". A second coat also really helps even out any leftover steaking/uneven coverage from the first coat. It does take some practice, but overall, two coats = opaque coverage at 1/2 the thickness of their bottled gel. Also, SUPER IMPORTANT to use a GOOD base primer, base coat and a good top coat! Otherwise you'll get chipping. *Original Review* I cannot tell you how excited I was to find this product! And I Love it so far!!! I was so done with the messy and less than opaque coverage from "standard" gel pods (I was using a different brand). I've grown to trust Modelones primer, base and top coats and while I have several of their bottled gels I still use, they can be too thick when not warmed up and not good for shorter smaller nails like on my 13 y/o. Fast forward to me seeing adds for the new "Mud" or "Pudding" gels over the social medias.... and I was super intrigued. I tired one from a "pro" brand and wanted more. Modelones got smart with it and created the Color Cube so I don't have worry about storing individual pods (even with no leakage they take up more space and are more wasteful packaging). MODELONES ADDRESSED MY TOP TWO ISSUES WITH DIY @ HOME GEL MANIS- MAKING THIS SUPER ACCESSABLE TO THE NON-PROFESSIONAL! I have one more pallet (the Neon Rainbow) coming and will update once I apply and give it the full two-three week test; but so far, two thin (and I mean real thin compared to their bottle gels) coats does it for good coverage. I'm sure a third would kill 95% of the remaining translucence if that bothers longer nail wearers (second photo shows translucence when held up to the sun light). Additional notes: some of the colors are very similar, but I like that for naturals as the warmer or cooler tones sometimes matter depending on the nail art on top. I'm not sure if they'll keep the pricing but it's a STEAL at $9.99 USD for 9 colors. This review was unsolicited and unpaid; I saw there were no reviews yet and wanted everyone to know how awesome this product is! And if anyone from Modelones is reading this: Please, please do this with GLOW IN THE DARK gels I know you can!!!!!
