I believe having a nice saddle pack is a must if you are in to any type of cycling weather it is road, cross country, or mountain biking. Everyone should carry an extra tube, some patches, a multi-tool, and a couple other odds an ends that come down to personal preference. Without a small pack you may find yourself in for a long walk home or a long trip back to the car. I prefer to keep my necessities in a small saddle wedge pack and Topeak makes some of the nicest bags out there. This bag is made of a nice sturdy 1200 denier. I believe it has a thin piece of plastic which is sewn into the inside to create a backbone for the bag. The back of the bag has a strip of Scotchlite Reflective material which makes it light up when a light hits it. It is held on to the bike by two quick release buckles that attach to the seat frame and a sturdy Velcro strap that attaches around the seat post. If you need a little extra space it has an expansion zipper which will add a decent amount of space. It is more than enough for an additional tube. It has a loop on the back which allows you to clip on a bike light. On the bottom they added a couple pieces of elastic that could hold an emergency poncho just fine. I do not think you could find a much nicer bag to keep the essentials. All of this weights in at 4 1/2oz. If this review was helpful please click the link that says so.
