Comparison of Dyson Multifloor 2 and Dyson Multifloor UP13
The Dyson multifloor 2 is the newest multifloor vacuum to date (Amazon just started selling them in early 2017). I also have a Refurbished Dyson multifloor UP13 (See pictures for comparison in size). Both are about the same height. The newer one is thinner and about 3 pounds lighter, at approximately 15 pounds. The suction power of both units is wonderful and I really do not think another vacuum out there could do better. Although, I have not tried them all. I had a Hoover Windtunnel before these and it lasted for 17 years but I didn't realize how much it was missing until I bought a Dyson. The newer Dyson does seem to have slightly better suction. I have a picture attached of what was pulled up after running the older Dyson first and then running the newer vacuum throughout the entire house. We have a very large house though and some of what you see could actually be carpet fiber.
The refurbished Dyson seemed to be a little awkward when pushing and made a squealing noise when I pulled backwards. It may just be because it was refurbished. It also is a little hard to get the hose back in place after pulling it out. To be fair...it does suck very well though and if you're looking to save money and a strong vacuum is what you're most interested in then a refurbished one would be fine. If you want it to be a little lighter and easier to maneuver then you may want to splurge.
Also, I was able to get a better deal by calling Dyson directly but Amazon's prices fluctuate so they may have the better deal next time around. I just thought I'd mention it in case someone wants to try. You can get their number from their website. Dyson.com

I am adding to my review in response to the customer who stated that their vacuum was too hard to get out of the box and that there were too many complicated parts. I truly think that the customer must be reviewing the wrong vacuum. My Dyson multifloor 2 was extremely easy to unpackage and put together. There's a paper with 4 steps attached to the top of the vacuum with picture directions on how to assemble. It took about 90 seconds after opening for me to be vacuuming!
Also, I'd like to add another benefit. I'm losing weight vacuuming! I love cleaning with this vacuum and we have a large 2 story home so it's a lot of exercise! Our house is so clean now! I have 6 kids so there's always a little something everyday to clean up. Who needs a treadmill when you have a Dyson!☺
