Flawless application.
I have been very curious about airbrush makeup for quite some time. I hear people on television talking about how they are airbrushed and see how great their skin looks and I want that too. I have been using an expensive foundation for about a year now and when I first started using it it looked great. My skin looked so smooth and finished. Now, I have become dissatisfied with it. It doesn't look smooth anymore. My skin doesn't look s good as it used too. Maybe I just need to buy another bottle, however, when I was offered a chance to review this set I was very excited. In the box you get the compressor, the airbrush wand, a hose to hook up between them, six foundations in your selected range, a primer, a blush, a bronzer, a shimmer, a bottle of cleaning fluid, an instruction manual, an a/c adapter, and a bag to keep it all in. I highly suggest reading over the instruction manual before first use unless you are familiar with airbrushing. When I ordered this set I knew that the lightest foundation would probably not be light enough so I purchased a bottle of Movie Star to go along with this set. Movie Star is the lightest shade. When I received the machine I tried using it with Movie Star. That turned out to be too light (shocker!) so I tried mixing it with Sand. After a few tries I figured out that for my perfect shade match I need about three drops of Movie Star to every two drops of Sand. There is a learning curve with this technique. It took me several tries before I got it right. I would put on too much and it would look cakey and powdery. I had to play around with how much spray I wanted to come out of the wand. I spent about 3 days trying it out before I got the hang of it. My skin is very dry and I make sure to moisturize prior to using this kit. I also have been using my own primer. I haven't tried out the primer that came with it just yet. I did try out the blush and the bronzer and they look pretty good but I realized quick that I needed to turn down the pressure when using those two. I had stripes and that was not a good look. lol. You are supposed to apply this using circular motions all around your face. I try to always do this but sometimes catch myself using swiping motions. I watched a few YouTube videos on application which was a big help. It is a good idea to test the spray out on a piece of paper (or toilet tissue, paper towel, etc) before applying so you can see how much spray is coming out before applying. You should also always clean the machine after use. That way it won't get clogged next time. Overall I really like this set and I am getting better at it with each use. Once you get the hang of it it feels so light on the skin it feels like you are wearing nothing at all. One tip I learned from watching the videos was that if I need more coverage I can dip a foundation brush (or concealer brush) into the airbrush foundation and pat it on the areas that need more coverage. This works very well for me as I have brown spots and a weird reddish patch on may cheek. Also another tip I learned was if you are going to apply any creamy products like concealer, apply it before using the airbrush makeup. It doesn't apply well if you try to do it in the reverse. I am including before and after photos. Please disregard that my hair wasn't done and my makeup was complete. I am posting them so you can see the difference in my skin using this product.
