My A#1 favorite word game!
This is a word game that is very similar to Scrabble, Jumble (the one in the newspaper) and is almost exactly like Text Twist which you can play for free on your computer at Yahoo Games. In fact, if you really want to know if you'll like it or not, I suggest hopping on over to Yahoo and giving Text Twist a whirl. There are only two glaring difference between this game and Text Twist: 1. In this game, you can rearrange the letters you have already selected and this is not so in Text Twist. You have to remove the letters first and then re-select the letters, which is a serious time waster. 2. In this game you can turn the timer off, and again this is not so in Text Twist. Some may consider it a cheat, but I use it to play when I'm in a doctor's office (or whatever) and sometimes I can't pause it, making me unfairly lose the round. At home on my computer at Yahoo this is a problem if my phone rings. It's the same thing only I DO lose the round because I cannot turn off the timer. Text Twist has been my favorite word game for many, MANY years. I'd say about 10 years at least, if not more. So when I bought my Kindle Fire, I wanted an app that was similar. This app popped up when I did a search in Amazon Android Apps for Text Twist. I was delighted to find it and it's been fantastic! Definitely worth it in my opinion. :) ============================= UPDATE: I noticed that another reviewer is claiming that you cannot play it without a wifi connection. This needs addressing here because this is absolutely not true. You do NOT need wifi to play. I don't know where they got that from, but I play it every single day and most of the time I am not connected. If you are offline and you start it up, there is a pop-up message (in teensy weensy letters) saying "Feint requires an internet connection" but that has nothing to do with the game. That is for the dictionary feature. You will not be able to look up the definitions of words if you are offline because it uses Wikipedia.
