I bought this for my Grandmother who had hip replacement surgery. I wanted something that would be extra long, warm but not hot ,and would be very lightweight so it wouldn't put downward pressure on her feet and legs. I have a similar version that I got from Macy's on a Black Friday special that I absolutely LOVE. I was hoping this would be as good for her as my version has been for me. The seems and stitching on this version are much better than the Macy's one I have. It is still super soft but it is a little bit thicker and heavier. I haven't used it for any lengthy period of time but I suspect it is warmer as well. (May not be a good thing in the summer). You can always leave a little crease to allow cool air under the blanket to avoid getting too hot. I did wash it on cold and delicate in my front load washer and dried it on super low then let it hang to dry the rest of the way for a day. Fluffed up great. This version came vacuum sealed in a small bag. I am sure this is to help with shipping cost. The only problem is, the outer bag is no longer a viable storage bag. I wish they would vacuum seal it and then put it in a larger bag so you can store it in a dust proof bag when not in use. It is true that these are super pet hair magnets. No problem.
