An entertaining and enjoyable read
So many 1 star reviews from "fans" and I don't get it. If you've listened to the show AT ALL in the month prior to the release of this book Howard was very very clear that this book was exactly what you get,...it's his interviews. I don't understand the disappointment when he was totally upfront in telling his regular listeners this. If you expected something different you weren't paying attention.
I didn't become a fan of Howard Stern until 2009 when I bought my first car that had Sirius XM in it. I started listening then and hated to miss a show. I save the shows to listen to while I work and it definitely helps me get through the long nights of tedious work that is the life of a baker.
I love listening to Howard's interviews even when the person he is talking to I don't particularly like or am very interested in what they have to say. He has a way of making them much more compelling. This translates well into book form, and I enjoyed reading even the interviews I'd perviously heard. His commentary on the interviews makes it all the better.
I'm a 43 year old woman and probably not Howard's typical fan but I truly do enjoy him, his radio show and this new book. I hope people read it and give him a chance despite their preconceived notions of who or what Howard is. The book is excellent and even if you aren't a listener of The Howard Stern Show it stands alone as a great read. He's a 65 year old man and has grown and evolved as hopefully we all do in life.
Baba booey!
