I did a couple tests on one of the masks that seems to be helpful to determine if they are legit KN95. I put water into the mask to see if it would seep through the seam and after 2 minutes it did not. Then I cut it open. I couldn't find 5 layers, only 3. But it seems like the most important layer is the one that doesn't burn if you hold a lighter to it. Instead it just disintegrates or melts. It passed this test also. KN95 masks won't give as much protection as an N95 but they are more comfortable for me then a surgical mask that touches my nose and mouth too much. These masks are also very easy to tuck in your pocket or purse since they fold easily.
