A fantastic adventure!
"Deadly wands" is comforting sci-fi, fantasy, story combined with some historical events about how Mongols want to take over one of the few free kingdoms left in the world: England. To stop the Mongols, a marriage must be arranged to have a child who would be heir to it all. The princess, Elizabeth is unhappy so she flees with one great warrior, William. Bill, fruit of this union is a child with more powers than his parents and becomes crucial against Genghis Khan, who is trying to destroy the world. Bill is the main character in this story that will keep you hooked up for a while. It is fantastic fantasy filled with wands, shooting fire balls, and adventure. I read someone comparing it to Harry Potter. Now, I am not a big fan of Harry Potter books or films, but from what I have seen, I don't think there is a comparison to it. This story sounds more serious and taps into some other deep issues. It is not a story for kids so I will not be reading this to my children. A quite enjoyable read, you will find yourself hanging and desperate to get to the next page.
