We purchased this in June to use in my wife's sewing room. She sleeps there in the summer when our 2nd floor is too hot for her. Now that it's assembled & seen some use, I'll share what I've noticed: 1. The back of the daybed is covered in cheap black fabric -The stuff that is sort of fabric/ sort of paper maybe? It's usually found on the underside of chairs so you don't see the staples & ugly bits. Not a big deal if you plan to put the bed against a wall because the edges are finished in the normal grey fabric. If you plan to float this in the middle of the room, it's going to look janky. 2. Despite how it looks in the pictures or what you may have read in a waywair review, there is no matching cover for the mattress included. 3. The ideal mattress height is probably 6-10". Our mattress is 12" and it comes almost to the top of the arms. A bit too tall in my opinion, but my wife likes the new mattress (which we bought just before deciding on a daybed). 4. Assembly is not bad at all. It was delivered in (2) 50-60# boxes. Make nice with the FedEx/ UPS guy and he may help carry them in. Our guy left them in the middle of the driveway in a rainstorm, so YMMV. If you've ever successfully assembled something from ikea, you should be fine. Directions are similar- Ignore the actual words, they are poorly written & will confuse you. Just start with step #1 and use the pictures. 4. After sitting, napping, sleeping, and lounging around on this thing for two months, it doesn't seem like it has gotten wobbly or creaky at all. I recently checked the bolts to see if any needed tightened after some use and everything was still tight. It looks the same as the day we unpacked it. Overall, for the price we paid, we are both very happy with this. The style makes it look much more expensive that it was, and so far it looks like it will hold up well for our needs.
