We got this microscope very specificially, to look at plants. This thing is so cool though that I’ve pretty much put everything I can fit under the scope lol The clarity of the screen is fantastic, and it is SO easy to use. It can be a little finicky when you are trying to find the item under the scope at first, but it doesn’t take long to figure it out. Adjusting the magnification is super simple, and I added an extra micoSD card so I could easily save and transfer the pictures taken on it without hooking it directly up to the computer. You can also record videos of what is under the scope. We are not using it for anything very “scientific” or technical, but it is very fun to “play” with and see different things up close. I think it would be great for kids to start with and explore different things. My husband took it over my moms house, and they are now obsessed with it too and my mom will be getting my brother one for xmas. She immediately asked me for the link the first time she used it. In case you’re curious, no matter how hard you try, I was unable to see the demodex mites on my face :( I know it’s a weird thing to look for, but I was morbidly curious since nearly all adults have them.
