I use this for poison ivy. Make a paste and leave it on until it dries up and cracks. Then wash it off. I did this 2 times a day for 3 days. First it stops the itch and then dries it out. It's amazing how it draws all of the oils out, preventing it from spreading and helping with the healing process. My poison ivy is gone!! I always get a really bad reaction to poison ivy. As a child I had to get a shot of Prednisone every time I got it, but now I have a way to keep it from spreading and get rid of it in 3 days. (See photos for progression over 3 days)
