This product is INCREDIBLE. I had to post because I have no idea what the other posters are talking about…… I am seriously concerned about their knowledge and well-being. Let's get some more positive posts our here to bring some reality to what is going on here. I hooked my DVR+ up to a 1TB external drive and to the internet and I feel like I am stealing TV – seriously I am waiting for the cops to knock- the experience is like having a Comcast or Direct TV from a user experience - channel logos (think Direct TV UI - logos and Info) and out for 14 days and Dish Network like DVR (pause live TV record 2 programs at once etc.) and user interface– actually probably even better – the signal sure is it is 100% unaltered HD signal clear and crisp best you can get better than cable and satellite! What I love is that I don’t have to play around with the input – I just hooked it in minutes and can move about the channels to watch and record including the launching the OTT Vudu app to watch Walking Dead etc. and rumor has it they are going to load this box up with apps (think Roku) so you get Free HD TV, DVR and all of your OTT apps. Compared to Cable it pays for itself in less than three months so not sure about the price point comments – what are you comparing this to? there is nothing like this on the market - HD TV, DVR and OTT all in one elegant interface. Take you $ and do something fun rather than pay the cable pigs - most of us watch and record broadcast TV anyway and if you want to watch Mad Men than by it for $1.99. Anyway it is also very sexy at less than 1/2 “ thick and you can totally hide it behind your TV – your friends will think you have magical powers. I think it is also made by EchoStar the same people that make all the stuff for Dish Network so it will probably last forever I have had mine since January and it is Rock solid. EchoStar makes like 10 Million DVR’s a year and wait a minute - just looking on their website I see this product – If they are behind it I am not worried about SW bugs and you should not be either. If you do not need one for yourself you probably know someone who does and if you buy one for them or tell them about it you will be loved forever. People- we forgot about Antenna TV at some point but it is digital now (2008) and it is all around us for free – and it is AMAZING with the DVR+. Can I give a 6 or 7 star rating? DVR+ for President! I think Channel Master really nailed it on this one folks despite some of the redonkulous posts thus far!
