Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

I'll start by saying that in most stores I wear a Women's 18/20. There is the very rare occasion when I can wear a 16W or in a junior store a 22. This dress fit the same as my other dresses but I am still pleased that there are larger and smaller sizes available and shipping was fast if I had needed them. I added a ribbon bow to the waist at the wrap under my left breast. I felt it looked like it should tie there. Body areas that I have issues with we're covered and this dress was comfortable to do everything in. I don't venture onto the dance floor much because I don't like to draw that kind of attention but the dress could have. It is soft and flows nicely. Has a side zipper that I didn't need. As all the other dresses I tried from amazon this had a higher waist than showed on the picture. The description does say empire waist so I was expecting it. I did not need shapewear, but feel like it helps remind me to sit up straight and suck in my gut so I wore it anyway. It also helped the dress not get grabby around my legs to have a straight slip as part of my bodysuit underneath as the night built up some static cling. I like this dress very much. It fits just as well as some much more expensive dresses and the sequin and lace skirt felt very elegant. There were people at this semi-formal wedding who were not nearly as fancy and some that were fancier. I'm glad I found a dress that made me feel pretty while being comfortable so I wasn't self-conscious the entire evening. My husband and friends assure me I looked great for our friends semi-formal wedding, but I didn't see any pictures of me that night beyond selfies. I felt pretty; I felt confident and I suppose that's what should matter. I just don't photograph well. I made this review because I took a chance on this dress with no reviews and the other dresses I tried based on reviews and pictures all had to be returned due to size or not being as described. We are all very different shaped women.
