I researched a long time before choosing this toaster and I made the right choice. It is a simple basic toaster and it just works. I read so many reviews of other toasters that were reported to toast one side of the bread more than the other side. When this toaster arrived I tested it without bread just to see how the coils heated up. I was worried that only one side of the bread would be toasted more than the other side. And I noticed that the coils on the outer sides of the pairs was visibly heating up more than the inner coils of the pairs. Oh great. I thought I got stuck with a bad toaster. Then I put some bread in it and gave it a test drive. And I proved myself wrong. The bread came out perfectly toasted on all eight sides of the four pieces of bread. So you may rest assured that even though it looks like the bread should be toasted more on one side than the other, it does not happen. It works as it is supposed to work, even though it looks like it isn't going to. I'm very happy with this toaster and I would happily recommend it to anybody who is searching for a good four slice toaster.
