Impressive. For the money I think that this is the best on the market and at this point I would have paid more. Heating is as evenly spread across the plate as you could hope for, the biggest reason why the heat is even is because the heating element is separate from the food plate which allows the air to heat the plate and not from direct contact with the heating element like most electric griddles. The heating element is designed to cover the whole surface of the plate; not just the outside leaving a cooler center or a hotter area where the control plug in inserted. Now for this type of setup it will take longer to reach your desired temperature, but I found after the first time I used it that I was able to cook 4 sausage patties, 2 eggs and a pile of hash browns at the same time before the unit hit 325 to 350 degrees without all of the popping and spattering of grease because it got to hot. On a side note: I cooked two eggs over medium with out using butter or oil to keep them from sticking, hash browns came out perfect, sausage cooked without leaving anything stuck or burnt to the plate. Clean up is very easy thanks to the non stick surface and pouring water in right after you use it. I think that I can honestly say the company that made this product is after performance and not a bottom line. I'm impressed and I love breakfast. Update: I just made Flawless scrambled eggs and bacon, crispy bacon not burnt bacon or limpy grease soaked bacon. This thing cooks like a gas stove. On another note, you will not believe how long the power cord is, they must have made a mistake, its 6 foot long. The only negative point I can make about this product is that I do not know how to pronounce the name of the company that made it. Update:11/5/16 Heating questions answered Just recently got a FLIR camera for my phone and decided to investigate any complaints about uneven heating. Now the FLIR device does have its limitations; the device only reads a temp up to 248*, so I couldn't track it up to preheat levels. Even so, you still get a very good idea of the balanced heating that is achieved through the product design. Now temperature control might be another story for you but you should be able to figure that one out after using it a few times. On another note, I have used this for over 2 years now and the surface still looks brand new; no scratches, nothing flaking off and no discolorations.
